To keep your Original Tulsi Mala spiritually effective and pure, certain sacred precautions must be followed. Always wear it after taking a bath to uphold its sanctity. Avoid using the mala when sleeping, eating meat, consuming alcohol, or during intimacy, as these actions are considered spiritually contaminating. Never drop your mala on the floor or keep it in an unclean place. Do not share your mala with anyone else because it absorbs your personal spiritual energy and vibrations. If the mala breaks, do not throw it away disrespectfully — bury it near a Tulsi plant or immerse it in a sacred river with devotion. Keep your mala spiritually recharged by chanting the Hare Krishna Mahamantra often. Treat your mala like a living symbol of Vrindavan and Goddess Tulsi Devi’s grace — handle it with utmost love and reverence.
